THis is the RSS over OCMP page.Here we can
- discuss how we can design and implement an RSS-style reader in an opportunistic networking environment with multiple access networks and network proxy support.
- discuss how to customize an XML-based reader for mobile handsets.
Getting OCMP up and running on Linux
- The listener interface must be modified so that it works for Linux. It is actually much simpler than with Windows, since we can just monitor the /proc/net information.
- In the curent code for the client, the lines that start the database connection should be commented out, since they just cause problems, and the client is not currently using database persistence.
- Note [1/19/2006]: We have made code completely OS independent.
Using an RSS Reader via OCMP
- RSS readers use HTTP GET to fetch data, so no new plugins are needed.
- Your RSS reader must support HTTP via proxy.
